T.D. Williamson (TDW) UK has earned a Silver Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), which sponsors the longest-running industry awards programme in the UK.
The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards programme receives nearly 2000 entries from organisations around the globe each year. The 2019 honourees represent 24 industry sectors, including oil and gas, chemical, manufacturing and engineering.
This was the first year Swindon-based TDW UK competed.
According to TDW Senior HSE Specialist Michael Grey, winning the RoSPA Silver award confirms how effectively TDW protects its stakeholders’ health and safety. It also provides a stepping stone for building upon those successes, and that makes the achievement even more significant.
“The RoSPA Awards provide us with the opportunity to benchmark our health and safety performance against a wide range of industries, as well as companies within the oil and gas supply chain,” Grey said. “It is a clear demonstration to all of our stakeholders that T.D. Williamson UK places health and safety at the top of our priorities when operating across the globe.
“The awards provide us with another tool in our quest for continuous improvement in our safety culture,” he added.
TDW UK will accept its award today, 18 June, during a ceremony at the ExCeL, London.
