Taking place over three half days on 4 - 6 May 2021 from 1pm CET, the event and its accompanying virtual exhibition offers accessibility for a global audience, who will be able to participate from the safety of their home or office.

The event attracts operators and asset owners, contractors and lay engineers, raw material suppliers, pipe coaters, specifiers, machinery suppliers, researchers and testing and certification organisations. Saudi Aramco, Total, TechnipFMC, BP, Borouge Pte, BOTAS Petroleum, Chelpipe, Enbridge, ExxonMobil, Ghana Gas, Qatar Gas, Saipem, TC Energy have already confirmed their attendance.

AMI has organised events in the oil and gas industry for the past 12 years and has built a strength and reputation for the delivery of these conferences. The programme has been selected by an Advisory Board, which includes expertise from AMI and external representatives who are all leaders in their field and bring their experience and knowledge.

The Advisory Board includes:

  • Denis Melot from TOTAL.
  • Suresh Choudhary from SHAWCOR.
  • Somaieh Salehpour from SEAL FOR LIFE INDUSTRIES.
  • Jeffrey D. Rogozinski from SHERWIN-WILLIAMS.
  • Thomas Stark from BOREALIS.
  • Mike Surkein from SURKEIN CORROSION.
  • Houssam Sabry from ICE.
  • Samuel J. Thomas from INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT.
  • Philip D. Tooth from TOOTH PIPELINE SERVICES.
  • Alex Garner from LONDON CORROSION SERVICES LTD.

Polymeric coatings and protection for pipelines create a complex challenge for the steel pipe industry. From factory and in-situ coating procedures and machinery, to a trained and skilled workforce, coaters must also consider that the materials need to offer performance and longevity through extreme conditions while providing anti-corrosion properties, all the time conforming to local, national and global standards.

The agenda will focus on the latest developments in coatings, how the industry is changing and what challenges it is facing. Other topics include selecting the best coating for service, pipeline lifetime considerations and the latest industry innovations.

New for 2021: The event will see the new addition of an Operator and Contractor Clinic. Operators already confirmed include Saudi Aramco, TechnipFMC and Total.

The Pipeline Coating Virtual Summit is sponsored by Shawcor, returning as the headline sponsor, SGS, BS Coatings, Demeta, Denso, Sherwin-Williams, Tenaris, Ibix Industrial and Linsinger.

Free delegate places are only available until 16 April 2021.
