PHMSA to hold public meeting on a VIS system for pipeline owners and operators

The US Department of Transportation's (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) announced on 14 June that it will hold a public meeting of the recently created Voluntary Information-Sharing System (VIS) Working Group on 29 - 30 June 2017.

The public meeting will be held in Arlington, Virginia (USA) to continue the discussion on the need for, and identification of, a VIS system for pipeline owners and operators.

The meeting will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT on 29 June 2017, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on 30 June 2017 at the Hilton Arlington, 950 North Stafford Street, Arlington, VA 22203.

Conexus Baltic Grid to go ahead with pipeline repairs

The Latvian unified natural gas and transmission operator has announced that repairs to the gas pipeline Vireši-Tallinn at Valmiera are key to maintaining gas supply security, and will go ahead.
