World Pipelines,
The National Energy Board has determined Trans Mountain’s new three-year toll settlement is in the public’s interest.
The Incentive Toll Settlement was negotiated between Trans Mountain, its shippers and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, and then submitted to the NEB for review. The Board issued its decision 5 March 2019.
The settlement sets out the method Trans Mountain will use to calculate its annual revenue requirement, tolls and related toll issues.
A toll is the price charged by a pipeline company to shippers using the pipeline for the transportation of commodities on its system. As the NEB notes on its website, tolls allow pipeline companies to safely operate and maintain pipelines.
