PureHM announces new tracking solutions

“A lost or stuck pig can be detrimental for pipeline operations, so knowing where the pig is at all times is critical,” said Michelle Antilla, Xylem Global Product Manager of energy pipelines. “Upgrading our Armadillo Tracks platform with these new solutions furthers our commitment to safe, reliable tracking solutions that meet operator needs, even in the most remote locations.”

The Armadillo Tracks platform is a fully customisable solution that can be used for remote, permanent and conventional tracking. The newest above-ground markers (AGM) feature next-generation technology to help operators improve tracking accuracy and response time while reducing safety risks and costs. Every installation is backed by a dedicated service team and supported by LiveMap, a portal for real-time run information and alerts.

Armadillo Tracks for permanent installations

Armadillo Tracks Remote is designed for permanent remote tracking across challenging environments. Its durable design paired with secure cloud connectivity ensures uninterrupted tracking on pipelines that are frequently pigged or difficult to access. This AGM is solar powered and features remote power management to significantly extend battery life and limit maintenance.

Armadillo Tracks for Rent

Armadillo Tracks Watch is available for rent, offering pipeline operators and inspection vendors greater flexibility for temporary tracking projects. PureHM’s newest AGM bundles proven Armadillo Tracks technology into an intuitive, single-box design for easy use across a range of tracking applications. Every rental includes around-the-clock support for smooth operations.

"PureHM has tracked pigs across North America for over 25 years, and we developed the first-ever remote tracking solution in 2012," said Jim Hunter, Xylem pig tracking Technical Specialist. “We are constantly innovating to ensure we have the safest, most dependable system for tracking any pig, on any pipeline.”
