Southern Pipeline Services, LLC (SPS) – a leading cathodic protection and pipeline maintenance contractor specialising in oil and gas infrastructure projects – has announced that it has acquired Louisiana based Compeaux Construction, a heavy equipment civil contractor founded in 2010, specialising in heavy equipment work.
The addition of this business unit expands their strong presence and capabilities for industrial and pipeline construction projects in Louisiana, Texas and the Gulf Coast. As part of the agreement, Blake Compeaux will remain as Vice-President of Construction for SPS and grow the division to include pipeline repairs and erosion control in addition to the heavy equipment work.

Corey Zeringue, CEO of SPS stated: “We are excited to expand our capabilities within the pipeline integrity and construction industry as it is an important market for the development of SPS. The Compeaux team complement our growing presence along the Gulf Coast. Compeaux has established many strong customer relationships and an excellent reputation for high-quality services with an exceptional safety record. We are very pleased to welcome Compeaux and its employees to Southern Pipeline Services.”
