World Pipelines,
Transneft Diascan has participated in OSEA2018, the 22nd international oil and gas conference and exhibition in Singapore. Asia’s largest oil and gas industry event took place in Singapore on 27 - 29 November 2018.
The company showcased a model of a combined magnetic and ultrasonic inspection tool at the Transneft booth. This device was designed and manufactured by Transneft Diascan’s engineers and is a flagship inline inspection tool.
The Russian company was one of the world’s pioneers in applying the combined diagnostics technology, employing both the ultrasonic and magnetic defect detection methods within one device.
Consequently, the two inspection methods can be applied simultaneously and with an increased efficiency when it comes to detection of such hazardous defects as combined flaws (dent-crack combination and dent-gouge combination) and lamination and corrosion loss of metal etc.
The OSEA exhibition and conference has been held in Singapore every two years since 1976 and is considered the most significant event in the oil and gas industry in Asia. About 1000 exhibitors from 48 countries of the world participate in the forum.
