Cortez Subsea secures first contract in West Africa
Rapidly growing subsea services and technology products' company Cortez Subsea has secured its first contract in Ghana for pipeline inspection work worth US$ 1 million.
Cortex Subsea will perform pipeline inspection and commissioning activities using a work class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) for Microperi Marine Contractors.
The award marks the first contract for Cortez Subsea in West Africa and follows on from projects in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Middle East, extending the company's reach form its North Sea base to supplying tailored subsea services to the global market.
Managing director Alasdair Cowie said, “Over the past 12 months, we’ve made a significant investment in new equipment, technologies and staff ensuring we have the workforce and systems in place to respond to customers’ needs quickly and cost-effectively anywhere in the world.
“This scope of work in Ghana not only demonstrates our capabilities in the deepwater environment, but also enables us to strengthen our on-going relationship with Microperi Marine Contractors and develop our technical expertise and abilities in the burgeoning West Africa region.”
