The International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA) convention will be held at the Hotel Camino Real Polanco in Mexico City from 25 – 29 September, 2017.

It will be attended by representatives of Laurini Officine Meccaniche and other major companies engaged in pipeline construction, contractor and suppliers from over 40 countries worldwide.

The event will showcase Laurini Officine Meccaniche that, again this year, renews its commitment as sponsor of the meeting and will provide unforgettable entertainment during the Caterpillar evening.

During this social event, interesting news will be unveiled, including the attainment of an important production goal and the launch of a new experience of virtual reality, capable of giving viewers close-up knowledge of the company and of the projects that bear the Laurini Officine Meccaniche trademark, in an increasingly interactive and multisensory manner.

The 2017 Annual Convention will provide four days of technical presentations, business meetings, guided tours and events: it will also feature the award ceremony for the “New Technology 2017” contest, for which Laurini Officine Meccaniche is a candidate with its revolutionary automatic laying system LLS - Laurini Laying System, previewed last April in Amsterdam at the conference entitled "The Novel Construction Initiative" during the Spring Plenary Session of IPLOCA by Paolo Garbi, Sales Manager of Laurini Officine Meccaniche and Giacomo Baione, Technical Manager of Laurini Officine Meccaniche.

It is a truly innovative machine with the prime objective of safety on the job: the structure is equipped with two tracks - one that works in the trench and another on the path - instead of using a mechanical arm and cables to elevate the overhanging suspended loads, thus ensuring the stability of the machine and eliminating the risk of overturning.

The Laurini Laying System also represents an important step forward in the sector of environmental sustainability: by working closer to the excavation, it reduces the workspace by at least 3 m, with the consequent reduction of the amount of land that has to be deforested and replanted. It is an ideal system, and efficiently decreases CO2 emissions by about 30 billion tpy, caused mainly by combustion and deforestation. “It is an essential appointment for us and we have been attending it since 1996 as an Associate Member. We consider it the ideal event to interact at the world level on new perspectives of business, and deal with subjects of fundamental importance for our sector, like technology, innovation, safety and environmental impact” says Marco Laurini, President of Laurini Officine Meccaniche.

“I've always tried to sponsor this event because I consider it the perfect opportunity, an informal way to promote co-operation, consolidate old friendships and create new synergisms among the members of the association. Over the years we have contributed memorable events – from the show of fireworks over the Venetian lagoon to the extraordinary opening of the Musée des Arts Forains in Paris – with the intention of describing our company's experience amid the wonders of the world, and our faith on the strength of teamwork, always focused on productive excellence. It is a way to involve the representative of the other companies, confirming our faith in our partners and creating relationships that have often developed, in time, into serious business agreements”.
