EnerQuip relocates in Aberdeen

EnerQuip, torque machine and associated products provider, is relocating its head office in Aberdeen to meet growing demand, with plans to further expand the existing product range and invest in research and development to continue the advancement of torqueing in the oil and gas industry.
Set in two acres of land with 16 000 ft2 of workshop space, the company has invested over £3 million in the new development, which is located in Altens, Aberdeen, UK. The move follows an earlier US$500 000 investment at the end of 2016 when the company launched their Houston Torque Solutions facility in the United States.
With a current team of 30 expert engineers and specialists, EnerQuip plans to double the Aberdeen headcount over the next 12 months and now has the space to do so.
Barry Marshall, Business Development Manager, said: “It was imperative that we relocated to a suitable facility to keep up with the growing demand for our products and services. This new facility allows us to streamline our manufacturing process, increase our capacity and have a positive effect on our response times to our global client base.”
This latest expansion is a major step forward for the company, which only launched two years ago. Since then, EnerQuip has opened three facilities and grown significantly in one of the most difficult times for the industry.
