New senior metallurgist at Exova

Global testing group Exova has appointed Cliff McGuire to the newly-created position of principal metallurgist for its European Oil and Gas business.
Cliff has an extensive background in metals processing and commercial metallurgical services, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
He previously worked with Exova before moving to Premier Hytemp, an Exova customer, as group metallurgist.
Returning to Exova, he brings experience across a range of sectors, including energy, aerospace and civil engineering, and extensive knowledge of alloys, materials manufacturing and failure mechanisms.
In his new role, Cliff will be responsible for training and mentoring, quality control and development of best practice.
