AFPM President and CEO, Chet Thompson, commented: "We applaud the Trump administration's swift actions to approve the Dakota Access pipeline. This project is long overdue and we are pleased to hear that the final easement has been granted by the US Army Corps of Engineers.
"This pipeline was needlessly delayed, despite meeting the required environmental approvals. By moving forward with this critical infrastructure project, President Trump is fulfilling the commitment he made to the America people to build out the necessary infrastructure to unleash the vast potential of America's energy resources.
"We look forward to a continued focus from this administration on the important role that oil and natural gas plays in our prosperity by creating jobs and enhancing our economic and national security."
