The Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP AG) has selected seven students to take part in the second round of the company’s internship programme in Albania. Between July and December 2017, the interns will have hands-on exposure to the project’s key departments and receive coaching by leading local and international experts in the energy industry.

TAP starts second round of internships

More than 200 students from over 20 Albanian universities applied for the second round of TAP internships. The interns will be working in various departments, namely: finance; pipeline delivery; health, safety and environment (HSE); stakeholder co-ordination; land easement, acquisition, and management; contracts and procurement; and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Eralda Zela, one of the selected interns hopes that her experience at TAP will help her career: “I hope that this internship will help advance my practical knowledge and skills, which for students is a rare opportunity. I will do my best to benefit as much as possible from the resources that TAP has put at my disposal, because I think this internship will be an important stepping stone in my professional future.”

The internship programme aims to support students’ career goals and help them succeed beyond the university auditoriums. The first round of the programme (November 2016 - May 2017) showed that internships are more and more often a stepping stone towards employment. Additionally, TAP provided professional experience opportunities to more than 20 students working with the cultural heritage team.

TAP aims to identify, attract and possibly retain the best candidates for the internships, as well as help them develop their careers. The programme is part of the company's legacy in Albania. TAP is committed to enhancing the knowledge of young professionals in the energy industry, therefore supporting local human resources.
