Premier Transmission Limited uses PRISMA for trading

The PRISMA European Capacity Platform will begin registering shippers who are interested in buying transmission capacity on the network points of Premier Transmission Limited, from 3 July 2015.

Premier Transmission Limited is the owner and operator of the Scotland to Northern Ireland natural gas transmission pipeline, as well as the operator of the Belfast Gas Transmission Pipeline.

Transmission capacity auctions

It is essential that shippers register on the PRISMA platform and receive confirmation of necessary steps from the Transmission System Operator (TSO), in order to take part in future capacity auctions. Premier Transmission Limited will begin auctioning on the 1 October 2015.

Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms

Götz Lincke, Managing Director of PRISMA, commented: “PRISMA is the first platform to have implemented the Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (the future European market rules for allocating natural gas transport capacity) and the only gas capacity trading platform that connects fifteen European countries. The platform of choice for many European transmission system operators
