Materials Testing 2017 showcases the latest innovation in tube and pipeline inspection. The show will take place from 5 - 7 September in Telford (UK).

The biennial event is the world’s most comprehensive exhibition of non-destructive testing (NDT), materials testing, condition monitoring and diagnostic technologies.

The show comes as new techniques such as the use of permanently installed sensors in pipelines and greater automation offer huge potential to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

<>Materials Testing 2017 promises to be the biggest and best exhibition to date, with over 70 exhibitors and a wide range of seminars covering the practical aspects of NDT and related technologies.

The biennial event is organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) and will run alongside its annual conference, NDT 2017, providing additional networking opportunities.

Paul Fidgeon, Chairman of the organising committee, said: “NDT plays a major role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and pipelines. Current trends include the increased use of permanently installed sensors in line with the move towards predictive maintenance, and greater automation.

“Materials Testing is the most comprehensive event of its type and allows NDT practitioners and end users alike to keep up to date with developments and hear from industry experts.”

The event, which is free to attend for registered visitors, takes place at the International Centre in Telford, West Midlands and is open from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm from 5 - 6 September, and from 9.30 am to 2.00 pm on 7 September.
