With effect from 1 October, Janneke Hermes will become the new CFO of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie, owner and operator of the gas and storage infrastructure in primarily the Netherlands and Germany. The appointment will also see her join the Executive Board. Janneke Hermes will succeed René Oudejans, who is stepping down from his role as Gasunie CFO after 7 years.

“The Supervisory Board would like to thank René Oudejans for his excellent contribution to Gasunie, which was much appreciated,” says Rinse de Jong, Chair of the Supervisory Board. “René let us know a while ago that he would not complete his second term, which is why we looked for a qualified successor. Janneke Hermes has sound knowledge of the energy market and in-depth financial expertise, and we are very confident that this appointment will ensure a balanced Executive Board.”

She has held various positions in the organisation, proving herself to be a result-driven manager with a broad background and a positive attitude.”

Janneke Hermes is also Corporate Finance and Risk Advisory Manager at Gasunie, a role which sees her responsible for treasury, project valuations and risk management, among other things. She started her career at Gasunie in 2002, holding management roles at Finance, Strategy and Human Resources.
