Carboline appoints new President

RPM Performance Coatings, a US$1.5 billion strategic operating unit of RPM International Inc. is pleased to announce that Christopher D. Tiernay will assume the position of President of the Carboline Company effective 12 October 2016.

Carboline is one of the most recognised brands in the protective and industrial coatings market, and is a leading global supplier of coatings, linings and fireproofing. As President, Tiernay will assume responsibility for direction of the organisation’s growth while ensuring profitable operations and maintaining Carboline’s unique culture and commitment to its customers, affiliates, partners and employees.

Tiernay has a long and distinguished career in industrial coatings and has an in depth understanding of the marketplace. He is a proven leader in developing effective teams that deliver.

David Reif, President of RPM Performance Coatings commented: “Chris’ wealth of experience and industry knowledge will make him a key addition to the RPM family. Tiernay will be relocating to St. Louis, MO in the near future.
