Geoforce, Inc., an international provider of Track and Trace and asset management solutions for oil and gas operating companies, service providers, and rental equipment suppliers, has announced it has established its first European presence in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.
Oil and gas industry veteran Chris Gorman has been appointed Geoforce's Business Manager for the United Kingdom.
"To continue our strategy of having a local presence in the critical oil and gas markets around the world, establishing a Geoforce footprint in the North Sea became our top priority," said James MacLean, III, President and CEO of Geoforce.
"It's clear the European oilfield values the safety and ruggedness that our ATEX and IECEx Zone 0 hardware certifications provide. No other company has a product so well positioned to serve this market. And we're thrilled to have Chris Gorman to run it. Mr. Gorman knows the European offshore oil and gas market intimately through his years of experience there, and is well suited to lead our efforts."
"The North Sea region and Europe in general are a hotbed of activity," said Chris Gorman, Geoforce's Business Manager for the UK.
"The region has long been a leader in the global oil and gas community through the export of talent, technology, and regulatory influence – so it's a natural fit for Geoforce to have a presence here to directly serve both our existing customer base and new ones that will soon be added."
Geoforce will offer European customers the full suite of its GPS tracking devices and Track and Trace software applications focused on offshore oil and gas applications. These products include the revolutionary GT1, the world's only IECEx certified Zone 0 GPS tracking device. The GT1 has received all regulatory and safety approvals to be deployed in Europe.
