Ryder announced as 2015 Southwest and Midcontinent Oil and Gas Awards finalist

Ryder System Inc. has announced that it has been named a finalist in the 2015 Southwest and Midcontinent Oil and Gas Awards, an industry initiative to recognise organisations that are leaders in their fields. Ryder has been named in the following three categories:

• Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.
• Award for Excellence in Health and Safety – Operational.
• Trucking Company of the Year.

The oil and gas industry relies on Ryder to take costs and risks out of transportation and logistics, enabling customers to maximise uptime, keep supplies and goods moving, and bring costs down. This is all supported by a proven health and safety culture driven by experienced oilfield operators and health, safety, and environmental professionals. Ryder turns a complicated supply chain into a company’s strategic competitive edge, from the oilfield to the marketplace. With more than 200 customers in the oil and gas sector, Ryder is at the forefront of change as the industry finds new ways to streamline and optimise fleets and supply chains.

Judged by over 110 senior executives from Midstream and Exploration and Production companies, the Southwest and Midcontinent Awards saw over 150 companies participate across multiple categories. The Awards salute companies that display best practices in the key areas of operational excellence, innovation, environmental stewardship, corporate social responsibility, and excellence in health and safety. The Oil and Gas Awards take place regionally throughout North America in the Gulf Coast, Midcontinent, Northeast, Rocky Mountains, Southwest, and West Coast. Winners of the Southwest and Midcontinent Awards will be announced at the Oil and Gas Awards Gala Dinner in Dallas, Texas, on 15 October 2015, where there will also be a Southwest and Midcontinent Industry Summit held for participating companies and organisations that have an interest in the region.
