World Pipelines,

Global testing company, Exova, has announced that its Corrosion Strategy Development Manager, Phil Dent, has registered as a chartered engineer (CEng) by the Engineering Council through the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).

CEng registration is based on a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Successful applicants must demonstrate their skills in effective communications and the ability to develop technical team members.

Commenting on Phil’s achievements, Roger Digby, Group Technical Sirector at Exova, said: “Phil is to be congratulated on not just one, but two prestigious accolades which come as a result of years of hard work. We are proud of the talent and expertise we have at Exova and have been pleased to support Phil in taking his skills to such high levels.

“IOM3 is an important and influential professional body and his CEng registration is valued recognition of the contribution Phil makes in developing colleagues and expanding Exova’s capabilities to deliver ever more technically demanding services in the field of corrosion.”

Phil has over 40 years’ metallurgical experience and has spent the last 29 years at Exova. He is a member of NACE International and is currently Chairman of the Marine Corrosion Forum.
