Baker Botts to co-host the second Global Energy Summit

Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, to co-host the second Global Energy Summit with Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy on 11 October 2018.
“The summit provides a unique opportunity for industry leaders and decision makers to gain insight into changes in the global energy markets along with the advances in technology and evolution of energy policy,” said Steven Miles, Chair of the firm’s Energy Sector Committee and a partner in Baker Botts Washington D.C., office.
Hosted by Baker Botts and the Baker Institute’s Center for Energy Studies, this event is free and open to the public, however registration is required.

Featured keynotes for the programme include the nation’s 61st US Secretary of State James A. Baker III, who is the honorary Chair of the Baker Institute and a Partner at Baker Botts and John Gibson, Chairman, Energy Technology, Tudor Pickering Holt.
Steven Miles, a Partner at Baker Botts and Chair of the firm’s Energy Sector Committee, and Kenneth Medlock, the James A. Baker III and Susan G. Baker Fellow in Energy and Resource Economics and Senior Director of the Center for Energy Studies, are the programme Chairmen.
Andrew M. Baker, Baker Botts’ Managing Partner and Ambassador Edward P. Djerejian, Director, Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy will provide opening remarks.
