World Pipelines,
Intero - The Sniffers is pleased to announce a multi-year strategic partnership with a leading energy company in Central Eastern Europe to enhance their methane emissions monitoring, reporting, and verification. This collaboration aligns with the latest EU Methane Regulation, aiming to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the energy sector.
Under this agreement, the largest in the history of Intero – The Sniffers, we will deliver an end-to-end programme for multiple sites of the energy company. The contract consists of advisory services, followed by measurements onsite using advanced source-level and site-level detection technologies together with Aeromon, and finally reconciliation and reporting. The collaboration includes assessments of different asset types including offshore measurements, quantification of methane leaks on buried pipelines, and wells.
This approach will help to systematically identify and quantify methane emissions from the company’s operations. The data collected will be crucial in ensuring compliance with the stringent new EU regulatory framework, which mandates rigorous monitoring and transparent reporting of methane emissions.
This partnership underscores the oil and gas company’s dedication to reducing their carbon footprint and supporting the EU’s ambitious climate goals. By working with Intero – The Sniffers and Aeromon, they aim to lead by example in the energy industry, demonstrating that rigorous emissions management is not only feasible but essential for a sustainable future.
