World Pipelines,
The high representative of the European Union Klaus-Dieter Borchardt, together with Slovak PM Robert Fico and Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk, have inaugurated the Vojany-Uzhorod pipeline.
A symbolic turning of a valve indicated the beginning of reverse gas flow from Slovakia to Ukraine.
The Vojany-Uzhorod pipeline will transport to Ukraine 10 billion m3/yr of natural gas (27 million m3/d).
Minimal guarantied volume from 1 October, 2014 will be 6.4 billion m3/yr (17.6 million m3/d).
The full capacity of 10 billion m3/yr (or 27 million m3/d) is expected by Eustream’s customers by the end of 2019.
The investment is realised entirely from the resources of Eustream. The company did not apply for subsidies from either the Slovak Republic, or from European Union.
