Actuated Solution Ltd (ASL), one of the UK’s leading valve automation providers, is reporting significant growth in their oil and gas division, with an increase of 15% sales in the last 12 months.
ASL has been supplying specialist heavy-duty actuators and control solutions into the oil and gas sector for over 15 years. Its range includes a growing choice of products such as the Quifer KSY Series, designed to actuate larger valves, operating in harsh environments.
The KSY series are ATEX, PED, GOST and SIL3 certified, offering customers peace of mind when they are choosing a solution that will provide years of reliable service, despite the demands associated with offshore applications.
The ASL sales team has experienced a notable uptake in demand, which is being attributed to specifiers taking advantage of ASL’s shorter lead-times in comparison to some of the major players in the field.
The ASL team will typically process a quote in under 48 hours and, depending on the type and size of order, product can be ready for dispatch in 8 - 14 week: almost half the time it takes some of the bigger industry suppliers to fulfil an order.
Chris Hickey, Director, Actuated Solutions Ltd commented: “End users in this industry are plagued with long lead-times and slow reactions from suppliers, yet the installations being managed are absolutely critical. As a smaller and more agile business, we are able to react quickly to requests and will prioritise orders according to customer needs.
“This year, our approach has really started to pay dividends with customers increasingly turning to us - especially for urgent installations.”
ASL’s heavy-duty actuator range, is already on some Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs) and has been on Shell’s AVL for some time. The products meet all the necessary industry accreditations – including full European manufacture – an essential buying criteria within this sector.
ASL’s recent expansion in this area includes large installations where Quifer products, supplied by ASL, are currently operating successfully in challenging environments from Russia to the Middle East, and within temperatures ranging from -50°c to +150 °c.
