A new approach to safety and design of pig trap quick actuating closures
Pipeline operators must quickly launch and retrieve inline inspection (ILI) tools and cleaning pigs without compromising the safety of field personnel, damaging equipment or releasing hydrocarbons into the environment. A quick actuating closure (QAC) or quick opening closure (QOC) can provide the solution to these issues.
