National Energy Board (NEB) Chair, Peter Watson, continued his cross-Canada engagement initiative in New Brunswick on 29 January. The national initiative kicked off on 26 January in Nova Scotia, where the NEB Chair met with individuals and groups regarding pipeline safety and environmental protection programmes.

While in New Brunswick, the NEB Chair will continue to meet with individuals and groups as he fulfills his commitment to the engagement initiative. The NEB Chair, Board Members and staff will continue to hear from Canadians in Atlantic Canada, with further stops in New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.

The NEB will visit every province and the North to meet directly with interested groups, including municipal and provincial leaders and staff, First Nations organisations, environmental groups, first responders and academics, as well as professional and industry organisations to discuss pipeline safety and environmental protection. In addition to meeting with Canadians from coast to coast to coast, the NEB’s engagement initiative includes an online discussion forum, which is open to anyone who wants to share their views about pipeline safety and environmental protection.
