World Pipelines,
Recently, global pipeline services provider T.D. Williamson (TDW) received an API Certificate of Registration for conformance to API Specification Q1 for inline inspection systems.
The certification, registration number Q1-2520, testifies that TDW conforms to strict API standards for:
- Design, manufacture, and service of equipment for the inline inspection (ILI) industry.
- Providing data analysis services for ILI systems qualifications in accordance with API STD 1163.
To date, TDW is the only ILI services company to achieve API Q1 certification without exclusions. This means its entire process, including equipment and service, has been recognised for quality management, product requirements, personnel competence and risk management.
“API is the leading trade association developing standards and certifications for the oil and natural gas industry in the United States, and is recognised globally for their leadership in these areas. As a result, their certification is extremely important to us and, ultimately, our customers,” said Chuck Harris, TDW strategic commercialisation manager. “API Q1 formalises many of the requirements for identifying, documenting, and controlling risk, which are all activities we perform as a general practice.”
