World Pipelines,
The National Energy Board (NEB) has developed a Board Member Operating Model that defines and clarifies Board Member responsibilities, accountabilities, and expectations as they fulfil their regulatory and non-regulatory roles.
Implementation of the new Board Member Operating Model is a significant step forward in the NEB’s ambitious transformation plans to strengthen regulatory operations, increase transparency and better engage Canadians.
The new Board Member Operating Model applies to both full-time and temporary Board Members and includes responsibilities to engage directly with Canadians, outside Board Member formal adjudicative role.
The Board Member Operating Model supports the NEB’s Strategic Priorities, which are:
- Take action on safety.
- Engage with Canadians.
- Lead regulatory excellence.
