EPIC adds origin, delivery points for Permian pipeline, Reuters reports

Reuters has reported that EPIC Crude Pipeline LP is bringing into service a West Texas origin point and has added a new US Gulf Coast delivery point for its new crude oil pipeline.
The San Antonio-based pipeline operator is bringing into service the origin point at Salt Creek Midstream in Wink, Texas, according to the filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The company also added a new delivery point, the POTAC Terminal, in Corpus Christi, owned by Pin Oak, a joint venture owned by Dauphine Midstream LLC and Mercuria Energy Group Ltd.
EPIC’s crude pipeline, which was converted from a natural gas liquids line, stretches from the Permian Basin, to the Corpus Christi, Texas, area, and is estimated to have an initial capacity of 400 000 bpd.
EPIC plans to begin commercial operations in the third quarter, and will be the second of three anticipated pipelines starting in the Permian over the next few months, following Plains All American Pipeline LP’s Cactus II pipeline.
