World Pipelines,
The American Petroleum Institute has strongly condemned the US District Court of Montana’s ruling to delay the building of the Keystone XL pipeline.
“Pipelines like KXL are the backbone of our nation’s energy infrastructure and one of the most environmentally sound ways to transport the fuel and petroleum products that power America every single day,” said Vice President of Midstream and Industry Operations Robin Rorick.
“In the more than ten years since Keystone XL was proposed, the pipeline has passed every environmental review conducted for it. In fact, a total of six assessments by both the Obama and Trump administrations concluded that KXL is safe to build. Calls to conduct identical environmental reviews makes no sense and are a waste of tax dollars. A decade of Keystone delays needs to end now.”
