World Pipelines,
The Danish Energy Agency has received a new schedule from Nord Stream 2 AG for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the kingdom's exclusive economic zone, which is a condition for the continuation of the project.
As reported by TASS, the company will resume pipe-laying on 15 January.
"Yesterday, the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) received a schedule for the further construction of Nord Stream 2. Work on laying the pipeline is scheduled to resume in Danish waters on 15 January 2021," said the head of the press service, Ture Falbe-Hansen.
As the DEA explained, before the resumption of work, Nord Stream 2 AG must submit an adjusted schedule, however the office does not need to approve it. According to information released earlier, the barge Fortuna will begin laying pipes along two parallel branches of Nord Stream 2 in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark. Work on the construction of a 2.6 km section of the gas pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Germany was completed at the end of December.
