Iraq Turkey pipeline repair work almost complete

A Turkish pipeline that has been shut down since 27 February is almost ready to go back online again.
Work on the pipeline, which carries oil from northern Iraq to Turkey, should be complete "in a day or two", according to local reports.
Flows through the pipeline, which carries around 600 000 bpd of oil from fields in Iraq's Kurdistan region and Kirkuk to the Mediterranean port of Ceyhan, have been suspended for almost three weeks.
Turkey's energy ministry said flows were initially suspended due to temporary security measures, and that militants from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) had subsequently blown up the pipeline. PKK has denied this.
The Turkish government is reinforcing security measures on the pipeline and these changes should limit downtime of the pipeline in the future.
