World Pipelines,
Elcometer has introduced its new Elcometer 500 coating thickness gauge for the non-destructive measurement of dry film thickness on concrete. The tool is designed to make non-destructive measurement faster, more accurate and easier.
The product includes all of the features you would expect from an Elcometer product. Features include: ease of use, robust and ergonomic design, menu driven colour display, user selectable statistics, memory, along with USB and Bluetooth data transfer to PC or mobile devices.
The Elcometer 500 Coatings on Concrete Gauge accurately measures the thickness of dry film on concrete and other cementitious substrates of up to 10 mm thick.
It is three times faster than other technologies, with over 60 readings/min in standard mode and over 140 readings/min in scan mode. The gauge is reliable, preventing false or incorrect readings, and it only displays a reading when the signal strength indicator turns green. Moreover, it is ergonomic since it is designed for continuous use and to comfortably inspect all day, every day.
The Elcometer 500 gauge is powerful, with 100 000 reading memory and data transfer via Bluetooth or USB to ElcoMaster for PC or mobile devices for instant report generation.
The tool can be used in accordance with ASTM 06132, SSPC PA9 and ISO 2808.
