ABO receives ABS certificate
The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), which promotes maritime safety and provides marine and offshore classification services, has awarded ABO valve the ABS certificate for three of its butterfly valves.
Miro J. Student, ABO Vice President, commented: “Our constant work on different valve certificates stimulates our customers to contact us with a wide range of different applications as well as executions according to specific requirements of product certificates. ABS certificate will enable us to supply valves to vessels and offshore structures with strict safety and environmental conditions”.
The certified ABO valve series features:
Butterfly valve Series 2E-5:
- Normal clearance: DN 50 – DN 400.
- Thermal range: -100 °C - + 500 °C.
- Operating pressure: max 50 bar in relation to a material used.
Butterfly valve series 3E:
- Normal clearance: DN 50 – DN 400.
- Thermal range: -100 °C - + 500 °C.
- Operating pressure: max 50 bar in relation to a material used.
Butterfly valve Series 900:
- Normal clearance: DN 32 – DN 1600.
- Thermal range: -20 °C - +180 °C.
- Operating pressure: max 16 bar.
