Maats bending machines

World Pipelines,
Over recent years, Maats Pipeline Professionals in the Netherlands has been manufacturing pipe bending machines suitable for all pipe sizes from 6 in. to 48 in. The only machine missing so far was the top of the range unit, suitable for pipes from 48 in. to 60 in., but the waiting is over!
Maats Pipeline Professionals recently finished the manufacturing of their largest bending machine, the Maats BM48-60. This massive piece of engineering is able to bend most common pipes from 48 in. to 60 in. with a 2 in. wall thickness and with the capacity to bend 60 in. X100 pipe with a 1 in. wall thickness as a maximum, this machine currently has no equal in the field. All the experience that Maats has gathered with different sizes and brands of bending equipment, first from their rental fleet and recently also from their own manufacturing, has come together in this machine. There are more improvements but the two things that immediately catch the eye are the top-plate that has a sloped front end but most of all the absence of the inboard cylinders where you would expect them. These changes are intended both for an improved strength of the machine.
As with all Maats bending machines, this one was built (where available) with Liebherr components, from the 12 litre, 374 hp engine to the massive cylinders, most parts have a proven reliability in various types and sizes of Liebherr machines, working in the most extreme conditions around the globe.
There is no denying that this is a huge piece of equipment, measuring over 10 m long, over 4 m wide, standing 4 m tall and weighing in at about 95 t (including a bending set). Although the Maats BM48-60 fits perfectly within the Maats brand, adding quality, flexibility and reliability, this is a machine that is exceptional in every way!
