ROSEN introduces new ILI service

World Pipelines,

The ROSEN Group has announced that it will unveil its new inline corrosion detection service, RoCorr MFL-A Ultra A, at this year’s International Pipeline Conference and Exhibition (IPC/IPE).

This new service is based on ultra high definition axial magnetic flux leakage (MFL-A) technology and will allow for the detection and reliable sizing of both minuscule pipe defects and complex defect groups. RoCorr MFL-A Ultra can detect even the smallest defects in the pipe wall, such as pinholes of 1 mm (0.04 in.) and less in diameter.

This is made possible through the combination of two highly innovative technologies. Pipeline ImagingTM, a triaxial design of ultra-high-definition 3D MFL sensors, and AutoDataTM, machine-learning, adaptive algorithms calibrated using high resolution 3D laser scans of real pipe defects.

Pipeline Imaging provides lifelike images of a pipe wall’s structure, while AutoData automatically processes large amounts of data in seconds, thereby increasing the accuracy and repeatability of results.

The RoCorr MFL-A Ultra service provides a comprehensive and accurate understanding of a pipeline’s structure.
