World Pipelines,
During the HANNOVER MESSE 2017 trade fair, held between 24 - 28 April 2017 in Hannover (Germany), Transneft Diascan presented mock-up models of its proprietary combined magnetic defectoscope (MFL + TFI) and a combined magnetic and ultrasonic defectoscope (MFL+WM+CD).
The displayed instruments are among the company’s unique research projects. The company’s analogues have now started to be operated at oil transportation facilities worldwide.
In a single run, combined defectoscopes enable to spot defects of various types (corrosion, lamination, scratch marks, slit-shaped defects) in both pipe metal and welds more efficiently than conventional (non-combined) tools.
