Doosan Construction Equipment is enhancing the company’s range of mini-excavators with the launch of the new Stage V compliant 2.7 t DX27z and 3.5 t DX35z zero tail swing (ZTS) models. The new models provide a best-in-class mix of superb stability, smooth controllability and high digging forces, complemented by low weights for easy transportation.
As a true ZTS machine (even with the optional heavy counterweight), the DX27z offers the highest flexibility of movements when working close to walls, coupled with best-in-class 360° stability and a low weight for easy transportation. The DX27z combines excellent performance characteristics with the largest cab for this size of machine on the market. With the optional long arm and a premium cab, the DX27z offers the digging output and operator comfort of much larger excavators, making it the machine of choice for work in busy urban areas.
The DX35z is a new generation model in the popular 3.5 t machine class offering the additional benefits of ZTS design. This excavator provides the best possible mix of compactness, a large operating range for the workgroup, great stability and a large and comfortable operator area. It is ideal for customers looking for a high specification ZTS model, whilst preferring the lower cost of ownership compared to higher tonnage machines.
High operator comfort
The new Doosan DX27z and DX35z mini-excavators introduce many state-of-the-art features and offer enhanced levels of quality and robustness. The larger operator space and premium interior deliver best-in-class comfort with an improved entry/exit thanks to new ergonomic 3D handles and a wider door. The new cab also features significantly larger windows and narrower pillars giving all-around visibility.
Inside the low noise-low vibration cab, the operator has the benefit of new joysticks and new optimised metal travel pedals. The new minimal effort joysticks offer further enhanced controllability and smoothness of working functions.
Increased features and options
A new blade design offers more robustness and enhanced self-cleaning ability. The redesigned boom cylinder guard is complemented by increased protection of hoses, pipes and valves on the workgroup.
As with all other Doosan excavators, the DX27z and DX35z offer easy access for regular maintenance and servicing. Exterior covers have been designed to be easy to open and close.
Brief specifications
Doosan has a comprehensive selection of crawler excavators including mini-, midi-, mid-size and heavy models covering operating weights from 1 to 55 t.
The nine mini- and midi-excavator models in the range from 1 to 8 t provide optimum performance, stability, ample cab size and serviceability. Doosan offers a complete range of eight mid-size models from 14 to 25 t including machines with short radius and narrow track configurations. From 30 to 52 t, Doosan offers six models offering high reliability and productivity for bulk earthmoving and quarrying applications.
As well as the smaller wheeled model, the DX57W-5, Doosan offers a choice of six mid-size wheeled excavators in the weight range from 14 to 21 t, complemented by specialist material handling machines.

Construction begins on Greensand’s carbon dioxide transit terminal at Port Esbjerg
When the tanks are full, the liquefied carbon dioxide will be loaded onto a dedicated carrier from Royal Wagenborg and shipped to the INEOS Nini platform in the Danish North Sea. From there, it will be safely injected via pipeline into subsurface reservoirs approximately 1800 m beneath the seabed for permanent storage.
