World Pipelines,
Mokveld Valves, a Dutch provider of control and safety valves, has announced Gasunie has decided to enter a long-term frame agreement with Mokveld to supply control valves for the Hydrogen Delivery Stations. This agreement is part of Gasunie’s plans to develop Hynetwork, a country wide hydrogen network in The Netherlands. In this project existing natural gas pipelines will be converted to transport hydrogen. The network will supply hydrogen to large consumers, such as industrial plants located close to the delivery points.
This Hynetwork project plays an important role in the European energy transition, in which hydrogen has become a crucial source of renewable energy. The European tender for this project set strict requirements in terms of quality, corporate social responsibility (CSR / ESG), and price. Mokveld was selected for its strong focus on both technical quality and sustainability, and its ability to provide solutions for the energy sector. The control valves will play an essential role in safely and efficiently regulating the flow of hydrogen to bulk consumers.
Mokveld's axial control valves are characterised by their one-piece body design, streamlined flow path and high capacity. Accurate control due to pressure balanced trim and full surround flow allows the use of energy efficient electric actuators. This control valve supports the sustainability of the products and is in line with Mokveld's vision to develop and produce valves that contribute to safety, efficiency and environmental friendliness in the energy sector. Gasunie's choice of the electrically actuated control valves underlines the value of this mission.
