STATS Group has signed a master service agreement (MSA) with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
PDO is the foremost exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman and accounts for more than 70% of the country’s crude oil production and nearly all of its natural gas supply.
An MSA allows both parties to negotiate future contracts quickly and provides a solid foundation for developing future business. The agreement covers pipeline isolation and localised hydrostatic testing services, and follows years of safe and successful work on behalf of PDO.
The MSA will run for three years, with option for a two year extension, and includes the isolation and testing services for PDO’s oil and gas condensate, multiphase pipelines and associated facilities.
The scope of supply is to include an initial site survey, a client-witnessed factory acceptance test in STATS’ Abu Dhabi workshop, mobilisation of equipment, manpower and subsequent demobilisation.
STATS Group Middle East director, Angus Bowie, said: “We have enjoyed a close working relationship with PDO for a number of years and this MSA solidifies that connection and will accelerate our response times and minimise downtime for the client.
“The agreement comes at a time when STATS Group are considering expanding our Middle East presence with new workshop, storage and testing facilities in Muscat, which will be supported by our existing base in Abu Dhabi.”
STATS Group specialises in the provision of pipeline testing, repair and integrity services, including the design, supply and provision of specialised test, intervention and isolation tools, to the international oil and gas industry.
