Saudi KAD awarded Master Gas and Fadhili Gas contracts

Saudi KAD, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company, has been selected as Saudi Aramco's contractor for executing several strategic pipeline projects for to the Master Gas programme Phase II and the Fadhili Gas programme.

The scope of the work will include the EPC work and commissioning of a pipeline network of 1118 km in length and the pipelines will significantly expand Saudi Aramco's capabilities for delivering gas to power plants and petrochemical facilities across Saudi Arabia. The work will also include EPC work for valve stations, metering systems, launcher and receiver stations, fiber optic cables, as well as road and rail crossings.

The sizes of pipeline will vary, with the largest diameter being 56 in. Moreover, upon completion of the project in 2018, the Master Gas system capacity will increase to 12.5 billion ft3/d.

Aside from this project, Saudi KAD is already engaged in the exercution of Saudi Aramco's Onshore Maintain Potential programme.
