Cape and APS sign alliance agreement
On 20 May, a strategic alliance agreement was signed by APS Group Chairman Robert Walters and Tim Callahan, Divisional Managing Director on behalf of Cape Middle East. The agreement opens the way for a historic co-operation between the two companies in the Middle Eastern Region.
Cape, a listed company on the London Stock Exchange, is an international leader in the provision of critical industrial services principally to the energy and natural resources sectors. Cape employs over 17 000 people working across 21 countries, of which 9500 people work in the MENA region.
APS, a specialised corrosion engineering and contracting services provider, employing over 450 people, with its headquarters in the UAE serving the Middle East and its regional offices in Kuala Lumpur serving the South East Asian region.
This new co-operation will provide APS with an increased exposure to Cape’s existing client network and the possibility to make use of Cape’s existing operational bases throughout the Middle East. For Cape, the co-operation offers a broadening of specialised corrosion services and pipe lining solutions, thereby substantially enhancing Cape’s capability to serve its customers in the Middle East.
Both companies acknowledge that this collaboration perfectly coincides with their strategic plans of strengthening their footprint in existing strongholds and expansion into markets of growing importance in particular in the oil and gas industry.
