World Pipelines,
fter securing a six-figure, multi-year contract, Kelton is set to demonstrate its continued position as the UK’s trusted partner for flow measurement and auditing services.

The new contract will see Kelton’s expert consultants audit a significant North Sea pipeline system on behalf of a major engineering client, which acts as an operating partner for the system, its various pipelines, and the terminal point in the north of Scotland.
Kelton, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, has long held a reputation as a go-to provider of specialist consultancy services and has a long history of supporting the subject of this new contract and the North Sea region, dating back to the early 1990s.
Through receipt of this new contract, Kelton will maintain its 30+ year relationship with the North Sea. The contract marks the third stint in which Kelton has supported the client and the system, following previous contracts from the 1990s to early 2010s and again from 2023 to 2025, when Kelton was once again recommended for its reputation and history.
Compared to similar providers in the market, Kelton is recognised for the quality and depth of its audit services and the feedback and analysis its team provides.
Through the contract, Kelton will act as the third-party independent authority for the provision of calibration witnessing, measurement system and mismeasurement audits for the pipeline system.
While a significant portion of the measurement audits will be conducted at the offshore pipeline entrance, a series of onshore terminal audits will also be conducted to maintain the same high standard of measurement across the system. The scope of Kelton’s work will be managed by a team of consultants who have led the delivery of this scope since 2023.
Kelton COO, Stuart Christie, commented: “Despite changes in domestic policy, Kelton continues to be committed to the North Sea. While production has progressed beyond the highs of previous eras, we are here to help maximise current production and the established infrastructure within the region.
Although this is a revised contract, this is the third occasion on which we have supported the system. Over time, we have demonstrated how our services and expertise have evolved to meet the changing needs of the client and industry.
When we first worked on the pipeline system in the 1990s, it was known as a proving ground because of its scale, complexity of differing systems and processes, and the demand of the terminal point. This has never once deterred our team, and with each new contract, we have gone above and beyond to demonstrate our credentials and provide in-depth and unrivalled feedback and actionable results to improve the system. We expect that through this latest contract, we will maintain this record.”
