SOCAR President receives delegation of AXPO
On June 27, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev received the delegation of the Swiss AXPO Group Company led by Chairman of the Board of Directors Robert Lombardini.
Welcoming the guests, Mr. Abdullayev gave detailed information about the important global and regional projects implemented in Azerbaijan`s energy sector, achievements gained within these projects. He praised the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring the European energy security, and noted that export lines of oil and gas had been installed in a short period of time. Mr. Abdullayev noted the importance of Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project with participation of AXPO in transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe.
Expressing gratitude for reception, Robert Lombardini provided information on the activities of the AXPO Group Company. Mr. Lombardini pointed out that his visit of AXPO managers with 5% of the participation in TAP AG Company was targeted at familiarisation with Azerbaijan. According to him, their visit to Sangachal Terminal highly impressed them. Appreciating the participation in TAP project as a “huge step” for AXPO, Robert Lombardini spoke about the works conducted in this regard.
Afterwards, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev responded to questions of members of the Swiss delegation.
