Chevron meets with Transneft Diascan

Pipeline specialists from Chevron have visited Transneft Diascan as part of an exchange of experience between Transneft and the North American corporation. The purpose of the visit was to acquaint Chevron’s delegation with Transneft Diascan’s products and manufacturing facilities and to discuss prospects for co-operation in the field of inline inspection.
The guests were showcased cleaning and inspection devices developed by Transneft Diascan, including cleaning and gauging pigs, multi-channel geometry tools, ultrasonic flaw detector, combined magnetic and magnetic-ultrasonic tools. The company’s Chief Designer Dmitry Glinkin described the operation principles of inline equipment as well as its main characteristics.
Representatives of the North American corporation visited the assembly facility for electronic components and Transneft Diascan’s testing laboratory. They also visited the facility for the production of polyurethane products, where the parts used for cleaning and inspection equipment are manufactured. The delegation also visited Transneft Diascan’s analytical centre, where the data obtained during inline inspection is being processed and analysed.
