SOCAR President receives PETRONAS delegation
On 27th May, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev received the Malaysian delegation led by Tan Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas, President of PETRONAS. Welcoming the guests, SOCAR President expressed confidence that the visit of PETRONAS delegation to Azerbaijan would play an important role in the development of the relations between the two countries.
Speaking about the contributions of Azerbaijani oilmen to the world petroleum industry, Mr. Abdullayev gave detailed information on achievements of the country in energy sector, renovation of infrastructure, regional and foreign projects.
According to President of PETRONAS Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas, it was the first meeting between the presidents of the two companies that already have experience of cooperation. He mentioned his Company’s will in future expansion of cooperation and in joint cooperation in the projects conducted by SOCAR. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two companies in global projects.
