GEFCO, Inc. integrates with sister company
GEFCO, Inc. the Enid, Oklahoma-based designer and manufacturer of portable drilling rigs and related equipment has announced an integration with its sister company Astec Loudon, of Loudon, Tennessee. The integration is designed to provide manufacturing opportunities and boost product growth.
Currently, the Loudon facility manufactures vertical drilling rigs and fluid pumper systems used in hydraulic fracturing. Both GEFCO and Loudon manufacture equipment targeted at similar markets and products.
Aaron Harmon, President of GEFCO, Inc said, “The goal of both plants is to combine our efforts so we are able to respond and react to the market in a quicker fashion. Both plants bring their own set of strengths to the table and we are excited about this opportunity and look forward to growing our business.
The two plants combined have a total manufacturing capacity of 750 000 ft2 and employ over 300 professionals with years of experience. The integration adds additional resources to focus on incorporating state-of-the-art equipment and technology. The Loudon plant will add valuable through-put, which is needed to continue building products designed to meet today’s environmental demands.
