Exova has signed a three-year framework agreement with Saipem to provide a full range of testing services primarily for the company’s Italian operations.
The contract, which is worth approximately £8.5 million, extends a long-standing relationship between the two companies. The deal will see Exova conduct a range of oil and gas testing services. Services will include mechanical, fracture mechanics, corrosion, weldability, SEM, coatings, chemical analysis and environmental testing.
In order to deliver the full scope of Saipem’s requirements, Exova has invested over £190 000 on specialist equipment at its Italian laboratories.
Murray Gilder, Director of Oil and Gas and Industrials at Exova, commented: “We are committed to providing the most technically demanding services to all of our customers. Our relationship with Saipem, built over thirty years working with them in Europe, brings an in-depth understanding of their specific needs.”
