Columbia Midstream’s Gibraltar project team recently presented a US$20 000 charitable contribution to the Claysville Playground to support renovations to the McGuffey Community Park. The check presentation took place at the Claysville Playground Association’s monthly meeting, where Marc Scott, Claysville Playground Association President, accepted the check on the Association’s behalf.

“This park is a very important part of our community,” said Scott. “I would like to thank Columbia Midstream for supporting our renovations, which will make the park a more accessible and enjoyable place for local residents.”

Greg Wilson, Construction Superintendent for Columbia Midstream, emphasised the importance of supporting the Claysville Playground Association while presenting the donation.

“On behalf of the project team, I can tell you that we are proud to be working here in Claysville, but most importantly we are proud to support an organisation that contributes so much to the local community,” said Wilson. “This donation is very special to Columbia Midstream because of the positive and direct impact that it will have on the local residents who regularly use this park.”

The Gibraltar pipeline project is a 15 mile pipeline extending south from a point near Claysville, Pennsylvania to a point near the Columbia Midstream Majorsville compressor station. Construction of the pipeline is expected to be complete by the end of 2016.
