Gazprom considers its market position

Gazprom’s board of directors has noted information regarding the price of natural gas exports. It has been raised that abundant gas reserves, along with well-developed production and transportation infrastructure were the key reasons underpinning the stability of Gazprom’s export business.
A large system of long-term contracts has allowed Gazprom to supply gas reliably its European consumers. To make Russian gas more competitive, Gazprom is working on improving its contract-related activities. In addition, the company applies alternative forms and methods of trade, including gas auctions, which is expected to increase gas sales.
At the meeting, it was noted that Gazprom would be able to bolster its market position and lift its gas export revenues by combining long-term contracts and new forms and methods of trade.
the company’s board of directors resolved to approve the revised draft Corporate Governance Code of Gazprom and submit it to the annual general shareholders meeting for consideration.
